Our school is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment.
This means that we have robust Child Protection and Safeguarding Policy and procedures in place. Parents and carers can find these policies in the Policy Section of our website or request to read the policies from the main reception

We ensure all staff have annual training to help them understand their responsibilities. All concerns are passed through the members of staff, using a written proforma, to the "Designated Child Protection Officers" in school in compliance with the "sharing of information" guidance.
We will ensure that our concerns about our pupils are discussed with his/her parents/carers first unless we have reason to believe that such a move would be contrary to the child’s welfare.
Sometimes we may need to share information and work in partnership with other agencies when there are concerns about a child’s welfare.
If you are concerned about a child’s welfare, please report your concerns to one of our Designated Child Protection Officer, who knows who to contact for the best advice and help and is experienced in using the appropriate degree of confidentiality.
If your concerns relate to the actions or behaviour of a member of staff (which could suggest that s/he is unsuitable to work with children) then you should again report this to one of the Designated Child Protection Officers in confidence, who will refer the matter to the Headteacher (or the Chair of Governors if the concern relates to the Headteacher)– who will consider what action to take.
