Ofsted
Montpelier Primary School has yet to be inspected since it opened as an academy and, therefore, does not currently have an Ofsted grading. Search for us on the Ofsted website and you'll only find an academy conversion information letter (available below). This informs stakeholders about the conversion to academy status and how this relates to Ofsted inspections. It states that the inspection judgements of the predecessor school are not those of the new academy.

As a Local Authority (LA) maintained school, Montpelier was due to be re-inspected on 19 and 20 April 2016. Due to our then imminent conversion from LA maintained school to academy, Ofsted took the decision to defer the inspection (see letter below). At the time of that planned inspection, the school leadership team and governors, informed by robust self-evaluation processes and external independent opinion (such as Arbor's Ofsted Readiness Report), were very confident that the inspection outcome would have been 'Good'.

For your information, previous Ofsted reports, from when Montpelier was a LA maintained school, are available below.
