Montpelier Primary School in Plymouth welcomed their new headteacher this week, Mrs Sam Hunter, who has re-located from Hampshire.  Mrs Hunter, a National Leader of Education with extensive experience in school leadership, said, “I am delighted to be part of this dynamic and caring school family.  I am passionate about ensuring every child will have the best learning opportunities possible while at Montpelier and have been overwhelmed by the warm welcome that I have received.”  The primary school, the largest in Plymouth, has 680 pupils and Mrs Hunter says she has set herself the challenge to learn all their names by Christmas.  “They are a joy to be with and I feel incredibly proud to be their new headteacher.  Visits are always welcome for parents who are interested in their child joining our school family.”
