Bude Update: Tuesday

21st May 2019

Well, haven’t we been lucky with the weather? This really is turning into a memorable residential. The children have been a delight; so well behaved and enthusiastic – we are all very proud of them. We entered the sea for the first time this week. Although the surf wasn’t great, the waves were clean and a few of the children managed to stand up on their boards. Mrs Hunter came to join us today and threw herself into every activity. The children were delighted to see her catch some waves. It was the first time for some of the children to tackle the high-ropes course and, once again, many fears were conquered. Others took to the canal in their kayaks, playing all sorts of games to improve their skills. After yet another hearty evening meal, the children enjoyed some free time this evening in fancy dress. Tomorrow it’s caving, mountain biking and back on the water for some in the dragon boat. Signing off, tired but happy.
