Bude Update 4: Wednesday
25th May 2016
Despite mid-week fatigue setting in, the Montpelier kids were still up for plenty of action. For some, the morning brought a thrilling session battling through dramatic surf on their bodyboards whilst the sun kept the chills at bay. They absolutely loved it – with all of them really getting the hang of catching waves to the sound of whoops and cheers whilst high-fiving friends mid-surf. The others enjoyed the Team Challenge course which really stretched their collaborative skills to the limit. Faced with an array of physically and mentally challenging tasks, they gelled together well to overcome many an obstacle. The chilly slide and dunk that drenched them right at the end of the course brought plenty of smiles as well as a few chattering teeth. A hearty lunch, followed by a swapping of activities, saw some tired but happy children dragging their weary feet back to base. Ravenous mouths fed once more, they then had enormous fun with the talent competition to round off the day. A great time was had by all! Written by Mr. Holland (who loved every minute).
